La Campagna - Rosebud

Really sorry we only just discovered this amazing restaurant as it is closing down in June 2017 to moph into a B&B-SO GET IN QUICKLY!Fabulous Italian home cooked food, really gorgeous view of both Port Phillip Bay AND Bass Strait-it helped it was a gorgeous day.Hope you get there.

I visited this restaurant last year in winter, beautiful home style Italian cooking service excellent fabulous views, I have just revisited in January and while the food and service were of the same standard but I have to say that I was expecting a summer menu not the sort of food that I was offered in winter, very disappointed .

The first thing that strike us was the view and the location of the place. It's in the middle of no where, with the view of the ocean.Food wise, nothing much to write home about, it's average Italian fair, and on par with whatever you can find on Lygon St.I was hoping for something more rustic and local. We where there on a warm January day, we dined inside, it felt really stuffy due to the amount of people and lack of AC. We enjoyed the day out nonetheless.

Visited this restaurant on Cape Schank and from the drive through the olive grove to the restaurant with its stunning views over vineyards to the water, it did not disappoint. The food is first class and the service is friendly and prompt. Cannot recommend the hidden gem too highly. This was our second visit and would definitely visit a third time on a future visit to Victoria.

My wife and I have travelled around Italy 60 times over 45 years. 16 years ago we visited this property before what it is today. Sunday was our first time back. We were there for lunch with friends. It is better than the best of its type of restaurant in Italy. We can't believe we have missed this restaurant all these years. The food was delicious, the wines excellent, the service outstanding. The weather was perfect and the setting took us back to Italy.We will return as often as we can. We know our friends and family will love it as much as us. Thank you everyone at La Campagna.
