Bidrage med feedbackI want to start by saying that this place is a fantastic destination for golfers. The courses are unique, well-maintained, and a true pleasure to play on. However, the resort seems to struggle with the influx of people coming and going. When the clock strikes 8:00 AM, it gets quite busy with many golfers arriving for their morning tee times. It can be frustrating to see one woman behind the bar handling everything while four other girls just stand around, watching the growing crowd waiting to fill their water bottles before their rounds. Implementing a simple self-service water and ice station would greatly reduce wait times and improve the overall experience. Despite these challenges, I would definitely recommend this place to any golf enthusiast seeking beautiful landscapes and excellent golf.
I spent a few days on a golf trip with a group of eight, and we had an amazing time. We rented the Falcon Cottage, which was perfect for us, providing ample space for everyone and serving as a fantastic spot to relax after our rounds. The loop is a golfer’s paradise—super fun, in excellent condition, and truly unique. It felt like we were playing on two completely different courses, requiring both creative shot-making and some patience. The Dunes course was absolutely pristine, resembling country club quality, except for the greens. However, that might be because we played the loop first, and those greens felt like concrete by comparison. Anyone planning a golf trip should definitely add this destination to their list!
We played at the Bootlegger and the Forest Dunes, and both courses were excellent. The Dunes was stunning, while the Bootlegger offered a fun experience for the whole family! The food and service were very good as well. We're looking forward to returning in August and can’t wait to try the Loop!
Nice golf course! (Played the Forest Dunes Course) Reminds me of the sand hills of North Carolina. Greens are very hard. The others in my group really fought at speed. Food was excellent. They're all going in with the sides, even for a burger. Very nice clubhouse, restaurant and terrace. Definitely want to go back to play the loop courses. If you're a golfer living in Michigan, it's a must.
With now both Forest Dunes and The Loop, this club boast an offering few others can match. Tom Wieskopf walks you through both forest trees and sandy dunes on the original 18 holes, with 1 extra if needed. Tom Doak and his team put a revolutionary idea into reality with the The Loop. A golf course that can be played two different ways by combining tees and greens. Switching routing every day, the Red course and the Black course share all 18 tee boxes and greens. However by playing them in the opposite direction reveals a totally golf course. A true one of kind experience in Roscommon, MI
