Bidrage med feedbackI will begin by saying that this place is an excellent destination for golfers. The courses are so unique and in great shape and a real joy to play. Where the resort began to suffer, people moved in and out. If there's 8:00, 800 and there are many golfers appearing for their morning tea times... It's frustrating to see a woman behind the bar who does everything, while four girls just end up and look at the crowd waiting to fill their canteens before the round. The course would benefit from a simple self-service water and ice level to reduce waiting and help with basic accommodation. With what is said, I would really suggest that this place for every enthusiastic golfer a destination where they want to experience a beautiful landscape and excellent golf.
Spent a few days as part of a golf trip for 8 of us and had a great time. Rented the Falcon Cottage and had an explosion as the house comfortably accommodated all 8 of us and was a great resting place after our rounds. The loop is a golfer dream, super fun, great condition, truly unique, definitely felt like two totally different courses and requires creative shot-making and some patience. The Dunes course was absolutely impeccable, practically country club condition with the exception of the greens, but that could only be because we played the loop first and these greens were like concrete. Anyone planning a golf trip must put this on their list.
We played the Bootlegger and the Forest Dunes, they were both great courses. The Dunes was beautiful and the Bootlegger was fun for the whole family! Food and service were very good. We want to go back in August. Can't wait to play the loop!
Nice golf course! (Played the Forest Dunes Course) Reminds me of the sand hills of North Carolina. Greens are very hard. The others in my group really fought at speed. Food was excellent. They're all going in with the sides, even for a burger. Very nice clubhouse, restaurant and terrace. Definitely want to go back to play the loop courses. If you're a golfer living in Michigan, it's a must.
With now both Forest Dunes and The Loop, this club boast an offering few others can match. Tom Wieskopf walks you through both forest trees and sandy dunes on the original 18 holes, with 1 extra if needed. Tom Doak and his team put a revolutionary idea into reality with the The Loop. A golf course that can be played two different ways by combining tees and greens. Switching routing every day, the Red course and the Black course share all 18 tee boxes and greens. However by playing them in the opposite direction reveals a totally golf course. A true one of kind experience in Roscommon, MI
