Home cooked soul food at it's best. Second time here in a week bc that's how good they are. This time I got fried chicken with a generous portion of mac n cheese, cabbage, fried plantains and a beef patty. I want to try everything on their menu! The couple that owns it are very sweet and attentive. Must try!!

I can't tell you how happy to have found this place through yelp. I got Jerk and fried chicken with Mac n cheese, cabbage and rice and beans. I have zero complaints! Everything as delicious!! I'm a Mac n cheese aficionado and this is the BEST I've had...better than trini pie which I'm obsessed with (actually, used to be). The fried chicken is very crispy and full of flavor. The jerk chicken was juicy and not overly spicy, make sure to get their jerk sauce on it. Even their cabbage and rice was on point. All this for only $12!! Bonus: the staff is very friendly and attentive. This place is def going on my rotation!! Thanks Mel's roadside! Don't change a thing!!!

The food is always fresh and delightful, employees hands over good service. I love how neat it is and mood. Would recommend to others.

I adore this restaurant very much. theres a unique mood. The cuisine is splendid. the service is effective and the team is trained. The pay is honest. I highly recommend.
