Monkey Rome

Arrived here for dinner tonight. All the staff were super friendly. They work as a team. The menu doesn't have a huge section, but that's not always a bad thing. The dishes we ordered, 5 Continents Beef, and the Monkey Burger, were tasty. However, my burger was cooked medium instead of medium well--a little too much pink for me. I also wanted onion rings instead of the fries with the burger, but the server said I couldn't do it, even when I offered to pay more. Not cool. The fries and salad that the entrees came with were perfect--hot and fresh. I also like the small bowl of mayo/ketchup they provided without me asking for it. For dessert, we had the carrot cake. It was good with the cream and berries on the outside of the plate, and the lemon icing was also good, but the actual carrot cake inside was far too plain--no raisins, or walnuts, in it. The decor in the place is cool with hints of monkeys here and there.

Cool Bar directly next to exclusive shop's. The cocktail's were well done, however there weren't as much alcohol as normal. The prices were favourable in addiction to the central position of the Monkey Bar. Moreover the waiters were friendly and courteous. All in all a good way to end the day!!

I couldn't really recommend this place over others in the area. Its a bit overpriced and I found the service to be slow. Nice decor amd ok food. BUT. Some of the staff come across as being a bit arrogant, as if you're bothering them when you have to get up and request the bill. Don't dare approach the bar for a drink if the table service isn't doing their job! Serious bad vibes...
