Abbey Theatre Irish Pub - Rome

For an Irish person, Guinness is a very important drink, therefore an Irish bar should have 2 things. 1. Good Guinness 2. Staff who know how to pour Guinness, unfortunately this had neither as the pint came without being settled or poured and then topped with the beautiful head. In other words the pint was poured all in one, which is not good. A side note, from all the pints I’ve seen being poured, either the taps are awful or the staff truly don’t understand how to pour, as every single pint I’ve watched being poured has wasted at least half a pint in overflow or “head” which is a big waste of beer, I’d hate to be the owner taking the cost! Anyway, decent bar. Okay pint of Moretti, served in a Guinness glass. Staff are okay, not overly fantastic but ok. Good for sports

Great Irish beers on draft, friendly bartender, historic building, taco Tuesdays, live Irish music on Fridays, uncharacteristically clean... what more do you want from an Irish pub?

Large bar, nice friendly staff, great ambience, many TV stations that allow the patrons to watch a variety of sports activities, football matches and even world superbikes! The selection of drinks was extensive and the food was delicious. The prices were really good, especially when you were in Rome. The decor was really quirky like in an Irish pub in Ireland. It was so good that we went there 3 times!!!

Great prices, clean bathrooms, and great food. The quality is amazing. Was skeptical about an Irish pup in Rome but fear not. It is good
