Palisades - Rome

Love the long hots. Friendly, very casual place. Service from bar if busy. Good sandwiches and bar food.

There is virtually no good reason to come to Rome NY. You will yearn for a cheap bottle of vodka in a paper bag spending more than a few hours here. However, occasionally I have to drive through here...so the Palisades I go to for excellent wings and Utica Club. It's a very townie place, but quite friendly folks to share a bit of what goes on in a dismantled ex-Air Force base town.

Fantastic! I've ordered 3 times in the last 5 days and thrilled with every meal. Generous portions and great prices.

What a great bar this was! Hometown feel with a phenomenally friendly staff. The buffalo wings were great. They charge an extra fee for blue cheese and celery...which should be included in the price of the food. Regardless of extra fees, this was a great little bar. I would definitely recommend this place for the hometown bar feel.

This place is the dive bar that got away.. Definitely a local spot, but people are cool as ****! Everything I've tried has been killer!! Try the stuffed cherry peppers if they are in season, excellent!!
