Black River Ale House - Rome

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! I ordered 20 wings, half bbq and half medium garlic. The wings had incredible flavor and were perfectly crispy. These wings are now among my top 5 favorite wings from all the places I have visited. I highly recommend them! Food rating: 4/5

The restaurant is a hidden gem in the area, nestled under a Goodyear. It's not a place you would stumble upon by accident. The people here - the owner, other patrons, and bartenders in this cozy hole-in-the-wall - are truly the highlight of Rome. I was warmly welcomed as part of the family from the moment I walked in. Despite being in New York, I felt like I was at my favorite local bar back home in Mississippi. The food is delicious and worth the price, and the drinks are a great deal. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of work! I enjoyed it so much that I returned for dinner every night during my stay. If I ever find myself in the area again, you can bet I'll be back. P.S. I highly recommend trying the 'Everything' wings.

Large neighborhood kinda bar in a basement. Nice enough inside. Friendly staff. Gross barhrooms....Parking: Lot is pretty rough.

I went and got a small pizza and 20 mild chicken wings tonite, food was fantastic, 2 thumbs up, ??.

Decent little basement bar with some bar food and some decent wings and cheap cold beer.
