Old school tavern.. Everything was delicious, perfectly baked and cooked, clean and the portions were huge. The service of the staff and owner was exemplary, with their humor and courtesy. FOOD IS THE ESSENCE and we ate well there, we ate delicious and traditional. Definitely recommended. PS when you guys come to CHANIA to eat, don't act like a customer or guest of the Burj Al Arab, place red carpets and gold cutlery and 5 butler's above your head to take your orders. Here in our villages things are simple, nature and food IS THE ESSENCE.

They're open, which was a blessing for me. The menu is reduced, but oooh this pork is so good. The furnace is heating up the eating area, and I didn't feel like I was in a restaurant, but more like I was a guest in their home.
