Putia Rosticceria Siciliana - Roma

We did not know this Sicilian restaurant and deli shop. We stumbled upon it while we were wandering in the Trieste neighborhood. We tried one of their arancine (rice balls filled of different goodies, like mozzarella or ragù meat sauce) and a slice of pizza. It is a good place to have a quick bite. They have a large variety of traditional Sicilian meals and deserts with quality ingredients. Friendly staff and good prices. We will certainly return when we are in that area again.

Small but unforgettable Sicilian, or rather Palermo, rotisserie! I 've been going there for a while and I have to say that arancini, iris, sfincione, various rustici, desserts are truly unique. The very nice chef and the kind lady know how to advise you and serve you with patience and courtesy. The internal spaces are not huge, so it can feel a little cramped. But it 's worth it. The only thing we continue to question every time is the correct name to give to the typical stuffed rice balls : arancini (typical of eastern Sicily, pointed shape) or arancine (used in Palermo, spherical shape). He insists on the second one (which he produces) but, given the excellent quality of the product, he can be largely forgiven.

Non sono solito a scrivere recensioni ma sta volta ci vuole! Trovo la rosticceria per puro caso, entro dentro e non so tra quale specialità scegliere. Vado con degli arancini, non li mangiavo di così buoni dall'ultima volta in Sicilia. Dò quattro stelle col sentimenti di tornare, provare nuove cose ed alzare il voto!
