Bidrage med feedbackNice pastry shop located in the very heart of Rome, half way from Piazza Navona and Campo de ' Fiori. It’s very small but it has a cosy studio-like seating area inside. The chefs and owners were really very friendly and helpful, explaining us about tastes and recipes of their creations, It was a nice, cusual find, while walking around that beautiful square Piazza del Paradiso (Paradise Square) where the shop is located, a true 'paradise ' for people who are particularly fond and are even a craving for traditional and experimental gourmet sweets. Among them, we tried the cheesecake, which we were not too crazy about, very different from the classical New York cheesecake, their version had a little soggy, caramel custard-like top, and a kind of too hard biscuit base. They have also bisquits and cookies and different kinds of croissants. Definitely we will return in the morning to try them when they come out of the ovem and they are still very warm, with coffee and cappuccinos. The service was accurate, prices a little high if compared to prices of similar high quality Roman-French patisseries. Recommended.
Ho ordinato la torta di compleanno di mio figlio, era davvero deliziosa! La crema era straordinaria e la spugna eccellente. Anche la frutta sopra era molto buona e l'estetica era impeccabile. Davvero un prodotto di eccellenza. Ottimo.
We stopped in one morning for pastry and americano cafe. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. There are only a few seats and not a big selection of pastries, but we were very happy with the quality.
Not far from Campo de' Fiori, Pasticceria De Bellis looks a little bit French upon entry, and between time studying alongside Ferran Adrià as well as Jordi Roca the Pastries from Chef Andrea De Bellis set a high standard despite Rome’s generally underwhelming Dessert scene. Closed Monday, but otherwise open from 09h00 to 20h00 daily, it is at Piazza del Paradiso 56 that guests will find the small shop, a lone server on this particular date expediting orders including Cakes, Panini and Coffee. Offering limited seating, though most Italian patrons seem to take De Bellis’ to-go with Coffee, it was after perusing a small collection that three items were selected, the Espresso stronger than most but finishing smooth and well-suited to sip with crumbly Ricotta Cake with Apples. More inviting than the likes of Roscioli Caffè, relaxing even, it was seated at a wooden table that forks pierced the shell of De Bellis’ Cannoli, the Chocolate-lining something of a textural compromise though filling is unparalleled while a “Bronte Cake” with Pistachio Cream and Raspberry is delicate, beautiful and delicious.
We were trying to find a place to hide from the rain and accidentally found out this lovely cafe. Next day we came back there again! it's really small but really great, try all of the desserts they have, they are all absolutely delicious!
