We were advised by friends that live and work in Rome to go to this restaurant. If you want very well priced authentic food check it out. The service was good, and it was good to see how the locals eat. The house wine went down very well, we had the white. I have a beef stew with beans which was well cooked and hearty. If you are in Rome, go to this part of Rome for a great night out

This place is in Trastavere, a hot part of Rome filled with hot restaurants. This is not a hot place, but it is a great place. Very, very traditional food. We had a large carafe of red wine, a small of white, an order of bucatini amatriciana, and an order of bolognese (red meat sauce) linguini, all for 24 euros. Amazing. the food was perfectly prepared, no glitz. We asked to sit outside and they a table for us. You have to work through the language barrier a bit but not really a problem. Very nice people.
