Bidrage med feedbackThe experience was so disappointing, I just had to make others aware. This was the only restaurant in Rome and Naples we visited that we didn 't like and it was mainly because of the waitress. We don 't know whether it 's a family business and the waitress was their daughter, but it was an unpleasant experience to be served by the most stereotypical teenager you could yank from an American movie. I don 't think we have collectively ever had anyone roll their eyes at us as much as the girl did while serving us drinks and food. It was quite a spectacle, to be honest! The sluggish walk she did with a very distinct UUUGGGH, why did these tourists had to come here? look she was giving us the whole time we were there made us feel very unwelcome. It 's no surprise that a restaurant in the centre of one of the busiest cities in Europe had NO OTHER CUSTOMERS inside. We should have taken that as a sign, but naively decided to sit down after being beckoned by the most unenthusiastic waitress/host we 've encountered in Italy. We ordered pasta, which arrived in due time, but tasted undercooked and oversalted. Didn 't feel like telling the waitress for fear of being responsible for her eyes rolling any further into her brain lmao. Just wanted to get out asap because her attitude was bumming us out and that 's not the sort of experience I wanted to have longer than necessary. The restaurant would do a lot better with a more engaged staff.
Firstly the confusing bit as this now seems to be called Ristorante Amore? After benefiting from unbroken sunshine for 2 weeks we were making a walk from the main station towards the tourist attractions and the Colosseum when the skies darkened and we witnessed some lightning flashes over the surrounding area so decided we would grab lunch early and this was available in the street we were walking along. We were quickly seated and our orders taken, we both chose Risotto with a mixed salad to share which was delicious. The restaurant was clean and tidy although the restrooms left something to be desired, something which we have come to expect and accept in Rome! A little off the beaten track perhaps but a fortuitous find on our part as we enjoyed a great lunch while the rain and storm passed over for us to continue on our way. 2 mains, mixed salad which was ample for 2 and a large bottle of water and x2 coffees for 33 Euros.
I’ve been meaning to write this review for ages! My husband spent our last few days of our Europe trip in Rome 4 nights and we ate here for 3 of them! It was our most favourite restaurant of our entire trip the arabiatta pasta and the olive and artichoke bruschetta was the best I have ever had, tasted so authentic and perfect. The prices were perfect too. Absolutely love this restaurant and we cannot wait to be back and we recommend it to everyone we know going to Rome. True hearty Italian cooking with amazing service. Thank you!! Sam and Tony Australia
Gnocchi tomato sauce was Blande. Ready to eat, but we stayed there waiting with money in the hand until I had to pay until I had to get up and gave the money. I see potential, but I was disappointed.
Fast food and pepper to taste
