Gelateria Fatamorgana - Roma

Surely a great place. If you're interested in new kinds of gelato, take a look here. The guy running the place isn't overly friendly, though multilingual. The cone is good, but mine was leaking not really something that I expect of a highly praised gelateria. The ice cream itself is good. However, a few kinds didn't really convince us.

Very high quality ice cream, with an amazing variety of flavors and non dairy, sans gluten, vegan options available. Texture is creamy and ingredients lists seems to be very short (and without unnecessary additives . Each flavor is marked with signs that tell you what is non dairy, without gluten and so forth. Flavors range from milk chocolate to carrot cake, or brown rice, or even green tea flavor. These I highly recommend: pistachio, white snow(? . kids liked: prince's kiss, white chocolate, caramel and milk chocolate flavors. Price is very very reasonable. 2.5 eur for 2 balls. Service was great. Recommended!

Wow! The best gelato I have had in Italy. The server working behind the counter was so friendly and helpful when I wandered in with no idea what I wanted. He let me try several flavors and suggested 2 that ended up being so delicious, I had to go back for the same flavors the next night. Madagascar chocolate was my favorite, so rich and creamy. I can’t remember the name of the other but it had coffee and amaretto in it.
