Gus' Diner - Rolling Meadows

Absolutely fantastic service and a great atmosphere. The food was fantastic, flavorful, fresh, and just the right temperature. This diner was very welcoming and a place to go again and again.

I used to go here when they opened. At that time I would have given more stars. Place has really gone downhill. The servers aren't friendly unless you're a regular. I was told the wrong soup of the day and got the wrong order. Our waitress only came to our table to take order, give order, and drop the receipt. No refills, no asking how we are doing. I also tried to get their attention to get a Togo box. Never got one. When I paid and we left we didn't even get a goodbye. That's the staff.The inside booths are sinking. I hit the wood when I sat down. They are only being held together with the tape. I was told pick any seat but that was the only one open that DIDN'T have stuff sitting on the table from previous customers.They raised their prices so much it's not even worth going anymore. $43 for two people, with that kind of service I'll continue to go elsewhere.

Gus's is a fantastic diner. They possibly serve the best French toast I’ve ever tasted. The Country Fried Steak is outstanding, and their burgers and sandwiches are also top-notch. Honestly, I’ve loved everything I’ve tried there. Gus and the staff are always very friendly. It’s my favorite diner in the area and my wife’s and my go-to spot for lunch on Sundays after church.

If you're in search of a great restaurant, you're going to really enjoy this spot. Genuine diners are rare to come by, but Gus's has everything you're looking for. It boasts a fantastic atmosphere, a huge menu, and quick, friendly service. Plus, they serve a wonderful cup of coffee. I can't wait to return!
