Sawadee Thai - Rolla

Great food. The portions aren't huge but they're very good and it's really plenty of food. I really enjoy the drunken noodles and the cashew nut for savory options. The curries are pretty good if you want a sweet meal. Pretty much every dish has a vegetarian or meat option.

Really nice curries, fair prices, in a very casual setting. Not much atmosphere, but the service is good and the food is excellent. Ingredients are fresh band of high quality. Like most any place Missouri, if you want it objectively spicy, you'll have to ask for it, as the default in this geography is a little bland...but, ask for it with medium spice, and they know what to do. I presume those who would ask for Thai-hot would likewise find it agreeable.

We decided to have a family dinner at Sawadee Thai and were thrilled with the authenticity of the dishes. Our group included everyone from preschoolers to adults, and everyone left happy and well-fed.

I will definitely return here! I visited twice and loved everything I ordered. It was my first experience with curry, and I now understand why so many people enjoy it. However, there's one drawback to the restaurant: it's an open space with a loud echo, which could benefit from some sound-absorbing foam or carpeting on the walls and floor. Aside from that, the food is excellent, the lunch specials are great, the waiter is friendly, and the atmosphere is visually appealing. I highly recommend this place!

Exceptional for Rolla! I visited for lunch shortly after they opened, and although the interior felt a bit unfinished and sparse, and they didn’t have their liquor license yet, I’m so glad I stopped by. The menu seemed a bit pricey outside of the lunch specials, but after my meal, I completely understood why. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I ordered a spicy roast duck dish priced just under $20, and it was outstanding. My only complaint is that I would have preferred it to be spicier; even though they let you choose the spice level, the maximum option felt more like "mild" instead of authentic heat. I also tried their custard, which was excellent. I really hope this place stays in business, as I’m already eager to sample everything on their menu!
