Bidrage med feedbackWe went for dinner on Friday night fantastic experience. The Chef greeted us at the door, the waiters were attentive and polite, the food was delicious. From the complementary Pan de Tomat, to the Tortilla de Patatas, Croquetas de Jamon Iberico, and the Pulpo a la Parrilla…spectacular. The octopus was perfectly charred on the outside, soft on the inside, and mouth wateringly tasty. Fresh ingredients, a plethora of flavors, incredible textures and smells a great culinary experience. Best Spanish good in Costa Rica!
Visited this restaurant during our trip to Costa Rica Nov 9-13, 2023. We were still trying to get used to the sun setting early in the afternoon and the rain although not unusual for the locals, was inconvenient for us. The restaurant is behind an automatic vehicular gate, that threw us off a little as we couldn't see the sign right away. Our concerns faded away quickly as we entered the dining area and were seated. Armando, our server was very helpful. We ordered Morcillas con Mermelada for appetizer, Pulpo Gallego, Pulpo a la Plancha and a Paella Valenciana, with a Creme Brulee for dessert. Price was reasonable and the portions were were adequate. I will mark this restaurant as one to definitely return on our next visit.
I did not know that a free ticket to Spain comes with the order of paella. The paella literally transported me back to Spain as the food is the same as if you were in Spain. I tried the croquetas de manchego and they were fresh, crunchy and soft at the same time. I then ordered the mix paella with chicken, seafood and pork. The seafood base that cooked the rice was spot on and very flavorful. I finished off the meal with crema catalana or their version of creme brûlée and it was soo good. Bravo! I can’t wait to come here again. They do private events too!
Kind of hard to find, and you have to be let in through a huge gate. Calamari tapas were tough. I had the octopus (pulpo) and it was cooked perfectly however it was on a bed of sweet potato purée with vegetables? Husband had fish of the day which happened to be sea bass and it was a mushy mess. Best part of meal was finding a traditional Spanish beer Mahou here as well as the bread with garlic butter. Very expensive meal, and not really worth it. Would not recommend.
Very nice restaurant with tasteful decoration in Spanish style. Delicious tapas and attentive helpful staff. Great experience
