Applebee's Grill - Rohnert Park

My husband and I used to love this place but for some reason after Covid hit the service became non-existant so we stopped coming.Last night my mother-in-law wanted to come here and have dinner. I thought maybe it changed so I agreed to take her.Place was a little busy, but just like I remember service was pretty bad. We waited a while before someone finally came around to take our order, then it took a while to cone out. My steak was cooked wrong but I just ate it anyway. After we were done we had to flag down our server to get our bill.I'm pretty patient when it comes to the restaurant industry since I use to be a server in my 20's, I understand it's not the easiest job but I never ignored my customers no matter how busy I was. I have no idea if these servers are in the back and on their phones instead of taking care of their customers, but I definetly won't be back. This was literally the last chance they had to win me over again.

It's an applbees. It was clean. Food was served at a reasonable time. There was a table ready when we got there!

I found out the rumor that most chain restaurants serve microwave food is true. I met some friends at the local Apple Bees when our meals arrived it was obvious everything had been microwaved. I had the Blackened Salmon, mashed potatoes and cheese broccoli. All of the items looked like they'd been microwaved and left to cool before served. The Potatoes Broccoli had dried cold surfaces, the Blackened Salmon was so dry it broke off in chunks. Everything was cold, nothing was edible. Everyone else's food was the same: thawed, heated in a microwave until dry and lifeless, then served. 2 hamburgers were served without condiments, just a dry, cold patty between two buns. A steak served was also microwaved. My daughter had a Chinese chicken salad which was the only meal that could be eaten.

Being ignored by the waiter, I have to get the attention of the greeter to get service. They weren't busy, it was the late lunch crowd. Food is like a little bit above elementary school lunch. Never coming back. I guess I had high hopes.

Went for the dollar margaritas and I only finished 2 before tapping out lol good but very sugary. The pear one was AMAZING.Anyways, our server was awesome and took care of our big party so well! Will be returning!
