3. Let's go! The aroma is delightful, with so many delicious treats that it's hard to resist. Brownies, donuts, bread, cupcakes—it's overwhelming! The staff is very helpful and ready to assist you with your orders. Be quick, though—donuts go fast! They're open from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, and closed on Sundays and Mondays.

I planned an ice-fishing trip to northeastern Michigan, but I realized I could only fish in the afternoons, leaving my mornings open. So, I decided to build my vacation around visits to Tradewinds Bakery at 7:00 AM for some delicious turtle pastries. The turtle sticks are simply amazing! Everything is freshly made in the morning and evening, just like a great bakery should be. Located north of Bay City and east of I-75 all the way up to Mackinaw, this is truly the best bakery in the area—one of the finest in all of Lower Michigan, in fact.

The prices are as steep as everything else. The donuts taste good, but I've noticed they keep getting smaller and smaller.

This little bakery is great. 1. It opens very early as a bakery should and 2. the donuts and pastries are so good and 3. the customer service is friendly.

What a hidden gem for real hand made doughnuts, made each day starting before midnight and done before they open. Even after moving from Roger's city to Cheboygan, a 70mile round trip, I still travel that distance for absolutely fantastic doughnuts. A must visit for anyone in the area, but get up early, because when they are sold, they don't make more, they sellout daily between 8am and noon depending on the time of year. Get there early!
