Lysstråle As - Roeros

Excellent cafe with friendly staff. Home baked sandwiches are great and apple cakes amazingly good.

The cafe has reasonable prices and generous portions of home-made vegetable soup. It deserves more guests. It opens the bell. 9:30 a.m.; closing time varies.

Friendly staff, but not a cozy cafe at all and the pastry I ordered was heated up in the microwave, making it soggy.

Opening of Rørosmartnan 2023, with flair in the streets and not least in the eateries. And Lysstråle is no exception. They were not prepared in any way, empty of most of what little they had. Steer clear when things are going on in Røros.

Ordered ciabatta with cheese and ham, as well as a ciabatta with chicken. We got the one with chicken delivered, the one with ham the waiter had to make for me. The waiter comes to apologise, and says that unfortunately they don't make ciabatta today. If I could take half a roll instead. She had apparently just come to work, and didn't show that they didn't make food.... The round piece I got cost NOK 55. The ciabatta I paid cost 69....I had expected that I would have received the deposit back, but I was not offered that...not that it was that much money, but that's the principle! The lady who seemed like she was the boss seemed unfriendly and service minded. Never here again!
