South St. Burger - Rocky View

We had lunch at this place in the Cross Iron Mall north of Calgary. Its kind of like a Subway except you order and pay first and then go through the burger line. We both had a burger and fries and both were very good. The bun could have been a tad fresher. When you order you select your premium toppings (ones you pay extra for). Then you get in the line and the cook puts the toppings, free and extra, on your bun and cooks the burger you 've selected. We had a combo where burger, fries and drink are included. OK prices. They give you a call device and you pick up your order when signalled. We were there at 11:30 on a Sunday morning so it wasn 't very busy. Glad we gave it a try. It is right near Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Fast and friendly staff. I was given a pager to inform me when my order was ready. The Gluten-free Burger was tasty! I will definitely be back!

This is like the ‘Subway’ of the burger world. You get to order it your way with tons of fresh sauces, condiments and toppings. Lots of cheeses, guac, mayos, veggies and more. Fries were average and the portion size was much too small for the value. Nice change of space and it is a family restaurant. Prices however are far too high for regular visits as the value simply was not there.

The burger was nice and fresh with great trimmings and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is not big and getting a seat can be a challenge at times. Food is good but pricey.

We almost never eat fast food, so when my husband decided he needed lunch on the run while at the mall, I was sceptical. He had the spicy piri piri burger on whole wheat with the side salad. I had the chicken burger in lettuce wrap. Burgers were hot and incredibly tasty and the salad vegetables and lettuce wrap were fresh and crisp. My husband said it was one of the best burgers he has had. I would definitely have the chicken burger again. My only regret is not having the fries the table next to us was really enjoying theirs!! 5 stars because it is great fast food!
