Bidrage med feedbackWe had friends in from out of town and they wanted to do a little shopping so we decided to take them to Crossiron. While there we stopped in at Fionn MacCools for some tasty food and guinness. Our meals were excellent and the guinness was cold. Service was friendly and fast.
Located in CrossIron Mills Shopping Mall, this pub is a fine place for mid afternoon lunch. Seating near the back in one of the booths made for a comfortable private venue to enjoy a quiet lunch mid shopping. But most outstanding was their summer pasta seafood special...delicious!! Give it a try!
My husband had the guiness beef and mushroom pie and a barking squirrel beer, he said you won't go home hungry. I enjoyed my chicken pie and mixed green salad with a delicious mojito. Service was good and the restaurant was clean !
Been going to this pub/restaurant regularly for several years now and in the past few months, glaringly obvious, started noticing the service trending strongly downwards. Was there last night and service was quite poor to say the least. In spite of it being a midweek evening and they were about 25% full, we waited ages for our food, even the desert, chocolate brownies, took more than 20 minutes to arrive. I had to go into the kitchen myself to top up our drinks after waiting for more than 15 minutes for our waiter to do it. Calamari was like rubber and the brownies were overcooked and dry, with way too little ice-cream. I wont be back here soon if at all, there are many other good restaurants vying for my money. Steer well clear if you are looking for good service and great food.
At crossiron mills mall decided to have dinner at the irish pub. There are NO prices listed in menu for draught beers. Our waitress was stumped when we asked, duh. She had to ask someone, a manager came back with one price for a specific beer. 6.75 for a type of draught, we got charged $7.25 on the bill! All the prices were different as far as we could tell. Are they making them up as they go? Ordered calamari and it wasn't good. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. We had a far better meal on 17th ave at Clives burgers, not a fancy joint but awesome burgers, fries and "priced" beers.( cans and bottles were priced)
