Ferris Steak House - Rocky River

Went to celebrate 25th anniversary. Dining room old, smelly empty. We were seated next to the server station even though there were empty tables everywhere. Ordered the filet Oscar. The crab was bad. The broccoli was frozen product. Asked the server to remove crab just put a little bearnaise on the steak. She did and added an extra cup on the side. Steak was great. Ordered the chocolate mousse cake to go. Sysco cake. Nothing special. Received the bill and was charged $5.50 for bearnaise. I thought that was a little over the top since the crab was bad. Then $9.50 for the cake. They did nothing special for our anniversary. Not the Ferris Steakhouse I remember.

We left, it looked nice but the website said that they had prime rib and was told the website had not been updated. Bummer.

Food was excellent. A little on the pricey side, but food was all very good. Had the scallops appetizer, very tasty. Also had the Italian sausage peppers appetizer, delicious. I had the blackened chicken tortellini special, it was terrific. My wife had the Delmonico steak, she said it was perfect. All in all, very good food. The server was very attentive and helpful. I would recommend to others.

I've eaten here a few times and always had a great meal. Went again Saturday night as was very disappointed. No Prime Rib!! I I had my heart set on Prime Rib only to find it was discontinued. What steakhouse doesn't have prime rib on the menu? Started off with a salad with very runny ranch dressing. I had to settle on a strip steak. I ordered medium rare and it was overcooked, and the meat was so tough, the table shook when I tried to cut it with my steak knife. It's was a bit pricey for a meal I couldn't enjoy. Very Disappointing

My family celebrated my youngest graduating from Cleveland State University on May 11 2024 and the service was excellent the meals were cooked to perfection!! Just a great time! Wonderful atmosphere!! Highly recommend!!
