Bidrage med feedbackImpressive....food was fresh, delicious and fairly priced. I had a pork taco-yum! The others in my party had a steak burrito and enchiladas. Everything was very tasty. Service was good too. Be sure to try it!
Skip the fast food places and come here. They have a wide selection of menu items and the food comes out really fast. Quesadillas or chicken fingers are perfect for the kids. They have a salsa bar and a nice selection of Mexican beers as well as some outdoor seating (with a view of the parking lot). So much better than your normal fast food stop, at a similar price point. Fresh and fast with clean bathrooms. What else does a traveling family need?
My five stars are fairly rare. For a casual taco joint I cannot think of how they could do a better job. If travelling on I40 and looking for a good meal, pass by the chain options at exit 408 and try this place. Friendly staff greeted us with a smile and prompt service. Lots of options other than tacos. Shame on me for not posting a pic of the tacos, but instead posted a pic of a sandwich my son ordered as it was unique (and huge). Many meat options for the tacos, fresh salsa bar. Very clean bathrooms. Next trip thru I am stopping again.
This restaurant has changed ownership and is now named Taqueria Durango. I ordered lunch special #4, and here's what I got: the cheese quesadilla was basically half a taco with some slightly chewy cheese that had been grilled. The salad was tiny, fitting easily in the palm of my hand. The rice was rather plain and had a slight metallic taste. All of this cost $7.78, and that didn't even include a drink. I’m willing to give it another chance, and I hope they make some improvements.
North Carolina boasts some of the finest Mexican food in the country, and this restaurant is definitely one of the highlights! I absolutely loved the chile relleno. Plus, the salsa bar is fantastic!
