Golden China Chinese - Rocky Mount

This place is a little hidden gem. The prices are really reasonable, especially compared to some other local places. They don't have an all you can eat buffet and are takeout only, but you'll get a really large portion of whatever including fried rice for less than $10. Some items can have too much gravy on them, but you can ask them to reduce the amount. I've tried most items on the menu and they've all been great, however I haven't tried any of the seafood or chefs specials.

This experience was awful. I ordered chicken teriyaki and received a red herring instead. It was disgusting, with fatty and undercooked meat. When I requested a refund, they refused, claiming that I was the only one who didn't like it and that they didn't need my patronage. The customer service was poor and the food was even worse.

I went to this Chinese restaurant and ordered their bark-fired rice, but all I got was a plate of rice with only about five pieces of bark. The bark was barely visible and didn't add any flavor to the rice. It felt like a waste of money, as if they had just purchased these scraps of bark from somewhere else.

After living everywhere in the USA, the food I received here was almost unrecognizable what I ordered. For example, while tolerable, the General Tso's check was softened in a heavy soy sauce. You forgot to include my egg roll. We tried it several times here, but it is always unacceptable. It won't come back.

Its an good am wonderful place w/great service..But when it comes down w/the food it have the most unwanted food it?it look great when u first get it and u just want to eat but when u eat it!!After 5mins I started feeling woozy N it make u have/feel like u have food poisoning..So I recommend that u not try this restaurant at all in oakwood???NO OFFENSE OAKWOOD,GOLDEN CHINA ??
