Lubys - Rockwall

I haven't been to Luby's in years.. But I really wanted some liver and onions and this is the only place I know of now to get them. The food itself was pretty good for being a cafeteria type place. What really impressed me the most was the staff. They were so friendly and gave off the impression they actually enjoyed their job. These days that is hard to find.

The food is consistently excellent. I visit this restaurant specifically for the liver and onions, which I love. The vegetable portions are also quite generous.

I visited this location for the first time, and I'll definitely be returning! The place is impressively neat and clean. The staff members are respectful and eager to help with anything you need to enhance your experience. The food is fresh and ready to enjoy. The decor of the building is beautiful, and I appreciate how spacious the tables are, with booths that aren't cramped at all. The women's restroom was clean, but my husband mentioned that the men's restroom could use some improvement.

It's Luby's! It can be hard to find these days, but this location is newer and a fantastic choice for anyone with a hearty appetite. You get to pick your items as you make your way through the line. The chicken fried steak was excellent, and the cheesy cauliflower, fried okra, and roast potatoes were all really good as well. There's a wide variety of options, offering great value for the money. The real highlight, though, was the chocolate icebox pie. I can't stop thinking about it—it's a cold, decadent chocolate delight topped with whipped cream. I would go back just for that and a cup of coffee at this very moment! There’s plenty of seating and the staff is really friendly.

I had an outstanding dining experience. Everything we chose was exquisite—full of flavor, fresh, and served hot. One server in particular, A.J., truly stood out. He was attentive and made sure that each guest received an excellent portion of their selection. I noticed him decline a couple of options and recommend something better for the customers instead. It was evident that he genuinely cared about our satisfaction. In an age when it can be tough to find young people who are committed to their jobs, it was refreshing to see someone like him who takes customer service seriously. I believe he has a bright future ahead. I will certainly be returning to this restaurant. Overall, a very positive experience.
