Tacos El Rey Food Truck - Rockville

There tacos are good, I just didn't care for their salsa verde, it was a bit spicy. Nice staff.

Was grabbing gas and noticed a line at the truck stand. Me being the curious one I went over to try the tacos out. Hot and fresh and prepared to order. Also with an extensive menu is always a plus. Perfect for taco Tuesday especially when your not in a cooking mood.

There are lines outside the Taco Truck in the Milestone Shopping Center 20910 Frederick Rd, German town, MD 20876 on a nightly basis. The Wallmart Lot as well as the shopping center in general seems to have turned into a ad hoc Truck Stop as there are tons of commercial vehicles parked in the shopping center lot(s) which gives the air of an open air market.. As for the El Rey Taco Truck, the line was non-existent around 5pm on a recent weekday evening and ordering from the belly satisfying menu, mounted on the side of the taco-truck, was quick and easy.The menu, filled with lots of tasty choices, including quesadillas, tacos, burrito bowls, pupusas and even chicken wings begged the question, what about a return visit? Well the first visit needed digesting and to that end the El Rey Quesadilla and Barbacoa burrito bowl would suffice. Took a bit of time to prepare which would suggest everything is made fresh, and came out of the truck 's pick up window ready to chow down. Flavors were on the mild side but filling nonetheless. Would have inquired about spicy version but a dash of Tabasco accomplished the same thing so maybe worth an inquiry next time. Overall, the Taco Truck is convenient for quick Mex fix and offers good selection of satisfying eats. Bonus if you speak spanish, as ordering is a breeze. Cash purchase is welcomed with small discount. Although there are several options for payment including mobile payments. I thought El Rey was for a location somewhere but probably just means The King of Tack Trucks which in German town MD its up there for sure. Recommended.

Love this place. Fajitas are great. Service is excellent. Would like better selection of hot sauce, basic Tabasco tasting hot sauce so bring your own if you're like me and hate hot sauce that has no real flavor. Food is good on its own.

$4 for a small tasteless taco. $8 for a burrito that is 60% the size of chipotle and about 33% as tasteful normally enjoy frozen peas but not in a burrito. Wished this local place was worthwhile to go back to, sadly not. Try taco bar (Gaithersburg) instead!
