Home Kitchen Cafe - Rockland

I stopped at the Home Kitchen Cafe for a late breakfast. There was quite a waiting list, but being alone, I was able to sit at the counter. I was greeted by the waitress immediately and requested a water and coffee. The menu was very interesting and I settled on “Home on the Range,” which was homemade hash, two poached eggs and toast of my choice; whole wheat. The hash was outstanding, it is difficult to find a good homemade hash so I was very satisfied with this selection. The eggs were poached perfect and there was no excess water, as is the case sometimes. The buttered toast was a great accompaniment for this fine dish. Nearby counter-mates had blueberry pancakes and salmon on toast, it was obvious they enjoyed their meals as well. Can’t wait to visit again!

Food was great. The Hostess Barb was a hoot. Our waitress had a great sense of humor and was very pleasant. Prices were reasonable. We had lunch but saw some of the breakfast platters come out for others and those looked pretty delish also. They have indoor or out door seating. And an upper deck with a pretty good view of the harbor. I would definitely eat there again.

I have been on intermittent fasting for two and a half years this was my third breakfast and SO WORTH IT!!! Pecan Cinnamon Bun French toast, so soft and delicious, the side of ham was perfect, thick, salty and the hash browns very good a few tasted like they may not have been fresh this AM but still yummy. My wife took the lobster tacos and they were perfect. Lobster cooked properly, fresh made corn Tortilla and the beans were perfectly spiced! After breakfast we stopped by the Bakery because if I'm breaking the diet might as well go all out raspberry shortbread was Best I've ever had

Just delicious food! We had the huevos rancheros and hippy scramble. Fast service. Sat in the upstairs room, good ambience. Lots of vegetarian friendly options.

Great little diner near the waterfront. Great selection of food, fresh, gorgeous presentment on the plate. Fast and friendly service. Would go back again when in Rockland!
