Five Forks Market - Rockford

The interieur is charming and welcoming. I don't remember our server name, but she was attentive, polite and enthusiastic. she explained the menu and the specials very well. my friend had the grass-feeded beef burger, and I had the special thing about the day, the lachsburger. we were both satisfied with our burgers and our glasses wein! her crying list was pretty good. if you are looking for a great small place to lunch in rockford, look at this place.

This place is great. they make tapas style small plates as well as Entree style medium plates. the food is tasteful and innovatiw, the cook on our meat was perfect. I am a total burger and I highly recommend her hamburger, the blueberries senf and boursin are a great combination. the restaurant is fairly small and fairly fast filled on a Friday night, so make a reservation or come early and make sure to taste the bacon wrapped dates!

A little pricey, but the attention to detail in the food is what matters! So many amazing things to try, and the menu is always being updated with various farm to table style dishes. The craft cocktails are out of this world, and the wine list was extensive which was great!

Service was excellent and food was really good. I was a bit surprised at the prices though. I had the trout and my wife had the flatbread. Definitely high end prices for a place that feels more middle of the road. Better than a chain restaurant though that’s for sure.
