Firehouse Subs State Street - Rockford

Firehouse Subs has been our favorite sandwich spot for years. Before this location opened, we would drive all the way to Beloit to visit the nearest one about once a week. However, in the past couple of years, the service at this location had noticeably declined, with frequent errors in our orders and a rather indifferent attitude when we sought corrections. Today, after months of hesitation, we decided to give them another try. I'm pleased to report that their service has significantly improved, particularly thanks to the manager on duty. He happily accommodated a special request for one of our subs, and although the sandwich maker initially missed the note, the manager caught it before handing over our order. He made sure the request was fulfilled and had them quickly remake the sub without me needing to say a word. Moreover, he sent us home with the incorrect sub for free, which another family member gladly enjoyed when we got home. Great job, Firehouse Subs—keep up the excellent work!

I travel 45 miles just to enjoy these amazing subs!

Manager Antonio is an excellent person—very friendly and attentive to special requests for those on restrictive diets. The food is good for the price, and I will definitely return.

Huge subs, super nice staff, very clean. Kind of expensive for a sub but the quality was worth it. The pepperoni meatball is for a limited time; Don't miss it! It actually looked like the commercial and I needed a fork and knife to make the 1/2 I could eat happen
