Applebee's Grill - Rockford

We were seated quickly and the staff were friendly. The food was excellent.

11Nov19. As a veteran, I decided to eat here on Veteran's Day. I ordered the 6oz steak meal. The bacon and cheese pasta was so good. The garlic mashed potatoes was delicious. The steak, even though small, was cooked just right. My server was quite delightful. Great visit!

I have reason to believe my alcohol beverages didn’t contain any alcohol, perhaps they forgot to add it? I got the spooky seasonal drink and a margarita, after 2 drinks I should’ve been slightly tipsy, I wasn’t. I came home 30 mins after finishing my last drink and tested my breast milk to confirm my suspicion, it tests the , by changing color, the test strip didn’t turn ANY color. So disappointing. The food was good though and our service was alright.

We were disappointed to hear that our local DeKalb Applebee's had closed, but we were delighted to find another location to enjoy our meal. We love the food and our waitress was excellent.

Ordered the $5 drink special. It was big good. My chicken tortilla soup was nice HOT! Hate cold soup. I had ribs, good but they were cold. Hate cold food! I was hungry so didn't send back. Next time I will tell them make sure it's hot! Service good, a new guy was in training.
