Lew's Dining Redefined - Rock Springs

Update: we went back e few days later and the food was amazing!! Great Prime Rib! Yummy. Unfortunately I have to give this place 1 star. The night I went in they didn't have a cook and we're unable to make most if their menu. Even something as basic as their club sandwich. I was told that was too complicated. We left without ordering. I really wanted to like this place and was excited to try their chicken parmesan, but that wasn't available either.

We kept noticing Lew's, both on the road and in lists of restaurants, but no one said we should try it. We decided it looked interesting and wish we had tried it earlier and told others. My wife had Chicken Parmesan with a starter of Brocolli Cheddar soup and was very happy. I had the Glazed Blackend Sesane Pork Chops with a salad and was also happy. There were other choices on the menu we would have tried if we had more time in town. The service was also solid.

What an amazing decor. Very nice western feel with copper table tops and a lot of rich dark brown coloring. I really need to visit this restaurant for dinner. I had heard from a coworker that this place does breakfast now for Saturday's and Sunday's. This was my first time visiting. Staff was extremely friendly and prompt to get us a menu as well as take our orders. I really enjoyed the chicken fried steak which is my goto test dish for any new to me restaurants. The steak was fork tender, had a great crust, and had a nice meaty flavor. Country gravy was thick, rich and well prepared. Eggs were prepared well. Only downside was no tomato juice and orange juice I ordered was a blended juice and tasted of pineapple juice. I am definitely going to try this place again for dinner.

A very weird experience. We may have been there on an off day, but stopped for lunch while driving through and there was basically only 2 people working in the entire place the cook and one waiter. The waiter seemed extremely frazzled, didn't know the menu, and took a long time to work with us (but he was polite). The cook ended up taking our orders. Food was OK. Limited vegetarian options, but there are some.

It was too early for the 307 burgers, but I had a delightful breakfast. Can't wait to return! Thank you, Frank and Michelle!
