Steve's Old Time Tap - Rock Island

On a Thursday night, my friends decided they wanted to grab lunch at a dive bar on Friday. There aren’t many dive bars that serve food, but I suggested a couple, and this one stood out as the best option. I love places where the bartender also takes on the role of the cook. Hats off to the bartender on this day—she did an amazing job managing both the bar and the kitchen. It’s a fantastic spot! If you’re in Rock Island, I highly recommend checking it out. It’s been around for ages, and I hope it sticks around for many more! (Sorry, I don’t have a food photo to share, but I had the grilled tenderloin with chips, and it was excellent!)

To Steve's Team: Nicole, Bobbie, Lindsay, Kendra, Ivy, Tammy, and Ashley! These ladies work incredibly hard. They have all the sports on TV that you could possibly want. I suggest adding a bar back to keep the service smooth, as I can’t wait to visit again. For those looking for a hotel, the IHG nearby offers reasonable rates. Kudos to Jeff!

This hidden gem of a bar is located in the Rock Island district and has consistently provided a great experience every time I've visited. Our favorite bartender is a pleasure to be around, and we often bring her snacks as a small gesture of appreciation during our visits. The slot machine selection is impressive, offering a wide variety of games to keep you entertained. Additionally, they feature a rare find these days: a cigarette vending machine priced at just $10, which is a bargain compared to other places that charge excessively for a single pack. They also have an ATM and Touch Tunes Music for your convenience. The drink menu is excellent, featuring ice-cold beer and satisfying food that's perfect for a quick bite. The bar is popular with locals, yet out-of-towners are welcomed warmly. It's also conveniently located across the street from the Holiday Inn, making it an ideal stop for travelers.

Steve's is great! The bartender Tammy was friendly and the patrons are very welcoming. I rarely get out much but when I do I enjoy a safe place with an engaging environment to spark up conversations with anyone in proximity and who will endure my silly conversations and Steve's provided that. Am going to keep Steve's on my go to list as a top choice the next time I feel like venturing out.
