Golden Corral

The food has declined in quality compared to how it used to be.

I have always been a fan of Golden Corral, so when I discovered there was one in Rochester, I was eager to try it out. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience. Firstly, there were no trays available to place our drinks on, and there was no counter space to set them down either. I struggled to juggle the baby and our drinks while trying to pay, and when I asked the cashier for a tray, she just stared blankly at me and stated the total amount due. The salad bar was unappetizing, with brown lettuce, cauliflower covered in black spots, and onions that were not fresh. The ranch dressing tasted off, and some staple items like taco shells and baked potatoes were missing. Even the rolls, which I usually love, were hard and chewy. The fried chicken seemed stale, and some dishes had an odd taste or texture. Overall, the food quality was subpar, and there were several missing menu items that are typically associated with Golden Corral. Additionally, the seating was cramped and uncomfortable, further adding to our dissatisfaction. In the end, we left feeling disappointed and ended up going to McDonald's for a meal that we could all enjoy. If Golden Corral in Rochester doesn't improve their food quality and service, they may need to consider closing their doors.
