Bobo's Chicken Shack - Rochester

The food portions are absolutely massive, and I really hope they never change that! The sauce is delicious, though I found the macaroni and cheese to be just okay—I'm a fan of cheesier versions. However, the collard greens more than made up for it! There is a bit of a wait, but it's manageable. It seems to depend on the time you arrive; we only had to wait about 20 minutes. I love that it's a Black-owned establishment, and I truly wish them all the success in the world. I can't wait to go back!

During our first visit to this restaurant, my family and I were looking forward to some good soul food. Upon entering, we found a welcoming environment that was clean and peaceful, with friendly staff. We placed two orders: the first was a fried ribs dinner, served with collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and a side of yams. The second order was a grilled steak accompanied by yams, macaroni and cheese, and a side of collard greens. The portions were generous, and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning!

Major restaurant chains could learn a thing or two from this team! There was a line out the door, but despite having only three people working, they served up huge portions of food without missing a beat. The food and service were fantastic. Food rating: 5/5.

The food is pretty amazing here and the service is one of a kind. I highly recommend eating here whenever you can.
