Bidrage med feedbackUnfortunately the lunch was very disappointing, the food is not very tasty nor well prepared, portions are ridiculously small, but the price is high. Service was very slow as well.
To start with, we would like to highlight that we usually do not like leaving bad reviews as we think that in most cases liking or not a certain place/food experience heavily depends on personal taste. However, in this case, we were highly disappointed for several reasons: first of all, when we arrived we asked for a table outside and they told us that all tables were booked in spite of several tables being free, but ok, let 's assume this was the case . We were given a table inside, where clearly no social distancing was being followed. When we told the waiter that we were not feeling comfortable with the situation, he called the owner who came to us and quite arrogantly told us that they were indeed following the Italian rules about social distancing while it was pretty clear that tables were NOT 1m apart as per Italian rules and that we had to show some understanding, considering that they had been closed for 3 months due to the lockdown ?! . This whole situation made us feel quite uncomfortable but we decided to give it a try, taking into account as well that there were no other restaurants nearby the closest restaurant is another 15mins by car and that it was already quite late. Moving on to the food: the menu changes every day and there is no written menu nor prices! . Options are very limited to few main courses which per se is not the biggest issue if only the food quality and waiting time were not as bad. However, quite the opposite: we ordered two antipasti to share; the meatballs, which were decent enough, and the "tagliere”, which was ridiculously small one slice of each sample and not even enough for one person, especially if compared with what you can get in other places for the same price; we then ordered a grilled mix of meat and vegetables, which was barely edible. The meat was hard and full of greasy fat we couldn 't even cut it with our knife , the vegetables were completely burned and served cold, we left the entire dish which is something we really hate doing and rarely do, but we had no choice. Last but not least: in spite of all efforts, the service was very poor and slow, and overall we had to wait 1h30 just to be served. Overall, quite disappointing experience, wouldn’t go back in the future.
This restaurant is so lovely and cosy. Domenico the owner and chef is a fabulous host. He has a real passion for the food of the area, there is always something new on the menu to try. He will go out of his way to make you feel at home. A must try if you are visiting this beautiful hill top village and medieval castle. Best to call/message ahead to book.
Local character for the picturesque presence of the mountain rock inside it. great welcome, friendly and very nice restaurant. superlative the appetizer of cheeses and meats, typical local artisan products. meatballs very original of cheese and eggs. first and second simple, genuine and refined dishes. definitely to return also to the lovely place where it is located.
20ago2021 small but well kept tavern. good quality local dishes. choice not rich but adequate. meat dishes. portions not abundant. best book to fix a place inside. tables outside are a little unstable, and the sun can annoy. flies are the real problem of the outside places. average cost, not cheap.
