Los Molcajetes - Roanoke

That was my first experience in this restaurant. The interior was very colorful, cheerful and comfortable. The service was immediately and consistently, from friendly smiling waiting staff. I ordered the lunch buffet and in the first sight noticed that some of the foods saw as if it were sitting. I then realized that the buffet started at 11 a.m., I arrived at 11:30 a.m., and I was the first day dinner to explain why some of the foods looked a little dry up. When the minutes passed, more and more diners entered, with most of them choose the buffet. The food was quickly refreshed and looked much better in appearance. All buffet foods were hot or chilled as needed. The food I tried was delicious, but not spicy. There was a large bottle of hot sauce on the table, as well as several spicy sauces on the buffet to choose if you wanted the heat. The chicken for the Fajita was delicious, but a little chew, and the ground beef needed salt. There were prefabricated burritos of beef and chicken, but most other dishes were assembled themselves anyway you wanted. There were not Mexican selections such as roasted chicken, fries, potatoes (I couldn't find any ketchup! and a salad bar with pineapple, boiled eggs, fresh vegetables and fruit, with all other common salad items. The buffet had many different types of salsa, sour cream, grated cheese sauces and other tasty things with your food that greatly improved the selection. Overall, the buffet was delicious, pleasant and plentiful. With the tax the buffet amounted to $11.79 and that was definitely a bargain compared to the regular menu. I did not notice any lunch specialties on the menu, so I assume that the buffet is the lunch, as it seemed to be the favorite of most diners. The meal payment was taken by the waiter to reduce contacts. I noticed a sign on the buffet that Diners pointed out to use plastic gloves, but none were available. I'd return to this place, maybe a little closer to lunch. Parking was plentiful, and I noticed wheelchair access.

Had dinner on a rainy Monday night. The service in the largely empty dining room was fast and attentive. There was no service in a slow night. I was very hungry and the food hit the spot! I thought my food was a bit warmer. I still enjoyed my meal and the service was great.

It was an absolutely excellent prepared lunch with the taste of Mexican food we were looking for. Great service also with fair to good prices. Thank you.

The first time here. We really liked it. Service and food were excellent. Very recommended if you like Mexican food!!

Overall was pretty good ,buffet needed attention and refreshed but was descent and service was good .Kids est free on Sunday's so that was nice
