Lebanese - Roanoke

The sitting area loved in the free. tomatenbisque was delicious. service could have been a tad better, but great for a quick bite or watching a football game. the food came very fast.

We hopped in here for lunch and drinks on a whim. It took a while for the hostess to stop walking back and forth in front of us and ignoring us, but we were eventually seated. Our service was friendly if listless. The food was good but not great. The outdoor seating is pleasant, but be prepared for a lot of noise and cigarette smoke. Given the chance to visit this area again, we’ll go elsewhere.

We were looking for a place to just have a drink and chose this place because of all the well-spaced picnic tables they had outside. We did go in at first to ask about how we ordered. The young women working there were very friendly. They offered to show us their back room, which had, in it's day been a speakeasy. We sat outside for our drinks and felt safe with the distancing of the tables.

Travelers to various places know collectively that looking for nice place to eat and feeling comfortable is not easy. Well, if you get to downtown Roanoke, consider this 202 Social House. The set up is on par with CDC and State recommendation. The place is big that you know you do not need to have close contact with others, staff is helpful and professional. On top of that, the food is excellent and reasonable price. Good place for lunch.

Downtown Roanoke is an up and coming place with its many restaurants and pubs. We had dinner at the 202 Social. We got there at 6:45 on a Monday night thinking we didn’t need reservations. To our surprise the only tables available were high tops in the bar. Right up our alley. After chatting with the bartender, we had glasses of wine, and delicious dinners. I had the cheese stuffed meatballs with linguine , and my husband had the steak and cheese flatbread pizza. Both were delicious, but the meatballs were exceptional. Definitely, hand made and filling, I could only eat 2/3 and very little linguine. Either meal could be easily split. A fun, happening pub, as long as you don’t mind the lack of acoustics. Our enjoyment of the company, food and evening made up for the loudness.
