Franklin Rd Bar And Restaurant

Had a nice mid day meal yesterday at Franklin Rd Bar and Restaurant. The name is a bit of a misnomer, as there are not currently any adult beverages available but the jungle juice I ordered was fresh and refreshing! For food we had a hard time choosing and ordered several things and shared. The cheese pockets (Arepas) made with chicken we're off the cart good! Empanadas with beef are the best my husband had found in Roanoke. We also tried the coconut curry (served on a pineapple) with shrimp which I will bring my mom back to share with me! The fries were very good and I assume an amazing accompaniment to any of the sandwiches. (I always order fries at some place new). We also decided to try to stuff in desert. My husband ordered the rice pudding (not my jam at all) and he really enjoyed it. I liked my fried ice cream but did wish I could've had a bit of chocolate sauce on top. We will be back for sure!

My husband and I tried this place yesterday and found it exceptional. The portobello mushroom entree was perfect and my husband's craft burger was delicious. Their fries are to die for!! Looks like a little hole in the wall from the outside. Inside is clean with happy, pleasant people to help you. We will return!

Everyone needs to experience their menu.Hands down, they have the most flavorful meals.Their lomo saltado and rice pudding changed my life.The chef and owner are genuinely warm and welcoming people and their atmosphere is very much reflective of this (and we all know that is a rarity in these crazy times).Experience their menu your tastebuds will thank you!!

Fantastic food and atmosphere! The owner and the chef both came out to greet us and were so friendly and welcoming. I'm so glad we stopped in!
