Restaurant Normandin Riviere-du-Loup

Ordered dinner after long day of driving. As an anglophone ordering would have been better if language difficulties were overcome but we managed to work it out and the order was almost perfect (I did use my best, rusty, Gr 9 French...LOL). Chicken was great and serving sizes were plentiful. Delivery person was bilingual and timely with delivery. Ordered PP4 and Promo mix specials.

The service was very slow. We waiting 20 minutes to place our order. The greeters were friendly but the wait staff seemed very involved with certain customers and ignored others.

We visited this location for a late dinner because we were super hungry and all restaurant were full on a Sunday night. The place is pretty it's either new or freshly renovated. The food we ate was better than the last time we visited an other restaurant of the same franchise. I've had a ribs pizza which was decent and my girlfriend had a zucchini salad which she enjoyed quite a bit. Kids are given vegetable when we arrive a nice gesture. Although the service was slow we consider visiting this location again.

We stopped for lunch and ate the Normandin for the first time. A friend of mine had recommended it. The waitress was very French but did her best and it was appreciated. She was very sweet and pleasant. We started with a fried parmesan appetizer that was delicious. I had the lasagna that was very good but I ordered it too big the small would have been plenty. My girlfriends salad was very good. Very nice spot and I recommend highly. Too bad there are none do your restaurants in New Brunswick.

After a long day driving from Ottawa on the way to NB we decided to call it a day and find an hotel in Riviere du Loup. Checked in at the Best Western Plus. Nice hotel. Asked the front desk for take out menus, they suggested Restaurant Normandin who delivers for free. Great we thought.Ordered their family special, four 7" pizzas, a family size fried and a 2L of Seven up for $20.99. I asked how many ingrediants, lady said just pick 4 of our pizzas on the menu. So I asked if we could add olives to pepperoni pizzas she said yes. I ordered a BBQ pizza no oignions. Well we got our pizzas fast enough, within 40 minutes. That's the only positive thing I have to say. The pizzas were burned to a crisp, paper thin, and, without letting me know, charged us an extra $1.40 plus tax per pizza for olives. About 10 olives per pizza. A buck forty for 10 olives! And I had ordered no oignions on my BBQ pizza. Well guess what, it was full of oigions!We only ate the inner pizzas. The crusts were too friggin hard. We had 2 choices, call and complain and wait another 40 minutes for pizza or suck it up and eat. So we sucked it up. I do not call to complain and ask for a new pizza, never. Who knows what would go into it. If anyone has seen the film "Road trip", you know what Im talking about with the french toasts...Save your money, go to McDo, at least you know what you are going to get.
