The Upper Crust Sandwich Shoppe

While I waited for my order, I chatted with the owners, who mentioned that they've been serving sandwiches in this location for 20 years! When my sandwich arrived, it was beautifully presented and served with a warm smile. The pastrami was hot, juicy, and bursting with flavor, while the French roll was unexpectedly soft and fluffy, perfectly complementing the melted cheese and meat. Everything I tasted was crafted with evident love and attention, and the staff were wonderful. I'm already looking forward to coming back tomorrow after visiting the Mission Inn to try more of their delicious sandwiches!

I’ve visited this restaurant several times, and it's consistently fresh and delicious. The customer service is excellent; if you're uncertain about which sandwich to choose, they’re always ready to offer suggestions. Be sure to inquire about the special side of the day—they often have delightful options. I've enjoyed their tasty chili and soups as well. Plus, it's situated in a lovely part of downtown Riverside.

For years, I passed by this restaurant, always intending to give it a try, but I never actually did—until yesterday, when I needed a break during a hectic Saturday. The owner (I believe he was the owner) was a delight to talk to, and the entire staff was friendly. They gave me an excellent recommendation for a delicious sandwich. I ordered the pastrami on a croissant with all the toppings, and even a half portion was incredibly satisfying. I was thrilled to save the rest for dinner. For dessert, I enjoyed their chocolate chip cookies, which were wonderfully light. I'm definitely planning to make this a regular spot.

They said it would be the best pastrami of my life and they weren?t kidding! Great service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices! They did toast it when we asked not to, but a happy accident because it was delicious! Highly recommend! No picturesbecause I inhaled the food!

I really enjoy the cozy atmosphere of this small shop. The sandwiches are delicious, and I especially love the potato salad. For some reason, I always find myself needing to have the carrot sticks as well. It's the perfect combination!
