Juan Pollo - Riverside

I had Juan Pollo as long as I remember. The chicken was always excellent. The potato salad was best meager. It's my favorite by far, but whoever prepares it in this place is terrible. It was almost tasteless; very disappointed!

The only reason I gave 2 stars was that the 2 men in the register were nice, but I had food for a birthday party I wish I had gone to another place. The food itself was good, but the way they packed the food was not. Nothing was put in bags or tightly secured. On the way to the party a lot of food fell from the badly secured pans. You need to work on better packaging in the future.

The chicken and the beans were perfect. This changed the recipes for rice and potato salad. It used to be tasteful and had vegetables and chicken pieces in rice. The potato salad was rather a mash, it wasn't good at all. I was very disappointed.

I have been to at least 3 other Juan Pollos before during my lifetime. Always great. This one location on Magnolia I just visited today. What a disappointment. The rice was raw. It did not even have any chives like the other locations. It was yellow and RAW. Never again. This location needs to step it up and get the recipe from the other locations. They are misrepresenting the brand.
