Bidrage med feedbackI placed an order today at 5:08 PM through DoorDash and ended up waiting nearly 40 minutes only to have the restaurant cancel my order. I wanted to give this place a chance since it’s supposedly under new ownership, but the Dickey's location on Riverwalk was a complete disaster months ago when it was opened by the owners of First Class Pizza, and it seems that nothing has changed. I spent over $50 on a simple three-meat plate, a pork rib plate, a soft drink, and a slice of pecan pie—no special requests or anything. If they can't maintain stock or prepare basic menu items, they shouldn't be advertising their full menu on delivery apps, especially when they leave you waiting for over 40 minutes before canceling. If you check other reviews, you’ll find that I’m not the only one who's had issues with this place being out of stock. I think I'll stick with Badlands or Speakeasy BBQ in Norco from now on.
This was the worst experience I've had at Dickey's. The brisket was extremely salty. When we entered, there was a heavy cloud of smoke throughout the restaurant. The mac and cheese was very dry, and we had to get ice from the neighboring establishment since there was none available. Additionally, the wings tasted old and were quite chewy.
This was my first visit to a Dickey's Barbecue Pit, and I found the quality of the meats to be just average. Unfortunately, the flavor didn’t compare at all to Oklahoma or Texas barbecue; even though the meat looked smoked, it lacked any real smoke flavor. The baked beans tasted straight out of a can, and the potato salad was just okay. Overall, I would give it a C+ and I won’t be coming back.
I tried this restaurant for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! The customer service was especially outstanding. Mekhi, Lauren, and Khalil were fantastic employees—so respectful and friendly! I can't wait to return! Thank you!
To make matters worse, the food was cold and our order was entirely incorrect, as if they just handed us whatever was left over instead of what we actually ordered. The containers for the food were filthy, with sauce smeared all over the outside. It was a total mess. I also ordered a slice of pecan pie, and it was as hard as a rock. What a waste of money. I truly don't understand how this place remains open.
