Restaurant la Chouette - Ripon

Upon entering the restaurant, we were hit by a wave of cigarette smoke. It was surprising, as it is illegal to smoke in public places in Quebec and must be at least 9 meters away from all doors. Our seating area was cold. We decided to order from the table d’Hôte menu, which consisted of complete meals with a starter, main course, dessert, and hot drink. The starter was disappointing - the frozen fries were dry and hard. The half ribs were small but tasty. My friend's pasta was bland and sticky. The dessert appeared to be smothered in Betty Crocker icing. Overall, the experience was not worth the money.

Looking for a good home kitchen? this is the local pampering atmosphere, basic menu (burger, pizza, fries, fish and chips), excellent services and quality ingredients at favorable prices. you can say it is good – it is the preferred hangout for locals!

There are not many vegetarian options on the lunch menu. There are a lot of fried dishes and a variety of smoked meats. The food is satisfying but not particularly flavorful. I prefer the dinner options. The appetizers are excellent.

I went to this restaurant with a group and the service was top-notch. It is a small establishment, so be sure to check their hours of operation before you go.

Not heavy on veggies on the lunch menu. Lots of fried foods. Smoke meat = lots of bread...Food is fine, not delicious, but fine. Supper is better I think. Ribs are fantastic.
