Bidrage med feedbackThis is honestly a hard review to write! The pub itself gets 5 stars amazing varied constantly rotating taps, lovely staff, nice food that’s fairly affordable and generally a good vibe. LOVE the garden terrace which is like a huge covered smoking area! However, the hostel rooms are not so great. Very tight compact beds with musty rooms. I did appreciate the fan very much and had a decent night’s sleep, but one toilet between about 30 people on a floor is not enough. Really well connected stones throw from London Bridge with plenty to do really recommend the coffee shop next door! However, don’t think I’d visit again unless I was caught short or just to visit the pub.
Went during the week towards the afternoon. Quiet but still a lot of fun. The out back seating was really nice, and got to pet some dogs. Lots of great beer selections.
Although the location is great and the price is very cheap. The rooms are not that great. Would't recommend it if you're travelling. The luggage compartment is in the basement and not nicely accessible. Only book if there's any emergency.
There's a strong argument to say this is one of the most efficient pubs in all of London, with the most frequently varied selection of beers. I've come here a decent amount in the last few weeks it's always busy but you barely wait 30 seconds at the bar, and I don't think I've ever had to have the same beer twice. Tres bien.
Worst hostel experience I've had these last 2 months. Hardly any ventilation. Very stuffy, smelled like mold as soon as I walked in. Very low beds, I constantly hit my head on the bed as I was getting in and out of bed. The only saving grace was the friendly staff and bar area being open to hostel guests 24 hrs.
