Bidrage med feedbackI’m not sure where the people giving five-star reviews dined, but it certainly wasn’t the same place I did. First off, I spent $100 on two small appetizers, two meals, a couple of sides, and two desserts, which I picked up to bring home. The fried alligator was burnt, looked unappealing, and had a rubbery texture with no taste. The fried green tomatoes tasted sour, like spoiled milk. The shrimp po' boy was tough and flavorless, making it difficult to enjoy. The mac and cheese had an overpowering, unpleasant flavor that we couldn't eat. The key lime pie looked unappetizing, so we didn’t even attempt it, and the peach cobbler was spoiled and had a terrible smell. We ended up throwing almost all of the food away, which felt like a waste of $100. This was honestly the worst food I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something, considering my experiences in this area. I should have just gone to Papadeaux for a decent meal, probably for less money!
I visited this restaurant for the first time with a friend who highly recommended it for its authentic flavors and family-run values. My friend was in the mood for shrimp and grits, which looked absolutely delicious! She let me try a bite, and I’m definitely planning to order that on my next visit. However, today’s special was a calamari po-boy, and it did not disappoint! The roll was perfectly crunchy, and the fresh lettuce and tomato complemented it nicely. The calamari were piled high, thick, and tender. I ended up finishing the entire sandwich! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other specialties. A big thank you to my friend for introducing me to this wonderful restaurant!
I visited this restaurant for a quick midday snack and decided to keep it simple. Since my family is from New Orleans, I usually prefer Creole cuisine, but I enjoyed everything we tasted here, especially their homemade Cajun remoulade, which complemented our meals beautifully. The service was prompt and friendly, and I would definitely be interested in returning to try more items from the menu.
First time visit with a friend. She highly recommended this restaurant for it's authentic flavors and small family business values. This day my friend desired shrimp and grits. It looked delicious! She let me have a taste... I would order that myself on a subsequent trip. However today the special was a calamari po-boy! The roll was crunchy, lettuce and tomato nice, the calamari were piled high, thick and tender. I finished my entire sandwich! I cannot wait to return to try some of the other specialitys! Many thanks to my friend for introducing me to this great restaurant!
I have been here before several times and it was great each time. This time the catfish was nasty the gumbo tasted generic and I'm 99 percent sure the mac n cheese was out of the box. The only good thing was the collard greens.
