El Gallero - Rio Grande City

Don’t let the pictures other people post fool you! Past reviews and past photos make this place look good, wrong! Place is very clean, service is not good/nonexistent, food was bland, and a good portion of the menu is only available after 3pm. What kind of place doesn’t serve chips and salsa??? This place

Waitress doesn’t know how to explain menu.. and then we got charged for a glass of tap water! $2!! No wonder there were no other patrons!! Horrible!

This restaurant is really great. I highly recommend the cauliflower soup to everyone. It is definitely a must-try.

The spicy chile con queso is amazing, the red pastor tacos are fantastic, and the green enchiladas are decent. The rice is also good.
