La Maison - Rio de Janeiro

We were there for dinner. We ordered a fetters with shrimp in Alfredo sauce and a Cesar salad with grilled chicken. It's pretty okay, and we like the fetters. The price was also decent, not expensive. It can't be one of the best restaurants in town, but it's convenient on Avenida Atlântica. The service and the food were also good.

I lived 7 weeks nearby and that became my favorite go-to restaurant. Perfect location for people watching and everything I tried on the menu was of good quality and reasonable price (for the area). And the service is exceptional!

This is the BEST restaurant in Copacabana. The fried shrimp plate with Broccoli rice is to die. They cook with the freshest ingredients. Also great drinks, including the Caipirinha and my favorites of the Caipivodka. Also recommend the shrimps Risotto and the fish fillet.

My wife and I stopped by La Maison for lunch on our first day in Rio as well as our last. We sat outside and enjoyed the views of Copacabana beach as well as the local color streaming by. For our last meal we shared the Brazilian Stew for two that included two Caipirinha cocktails (very potent , a plate of rice with pork rinds(? , and a huge bowl of delicious black bean and pork stew...yummy! We couldn't finish it all. We also enjoyed a few Stella Artois to wash it all down. We finished with a good strong cup of Expresso. Great basic food, nothing fancy, will definitely be back when we return to Rio.
