Restaurant Golf-Hotel Riederhof

We, a group of four, had a dinner here. The service was superb, the food was superb.I personally tried Valais rösti for the main course, because one is not likely to get any Swiss food outside Switzerland. There was also a huge variety of desserts, I had chocolate/strawberry/raspberry ice cream and it included hot chocolate that one could pour onto the ice cream.The waiters were very professional. 5 out of 5 on all accounts.

My husband and I ate at the restaurant for the 2 nights we were staying in Riederalp, and both meals were absolutely fantastic. We have lived in Switzerland for just over a year now and have tried lots of restaurants, but we both agreed these were the best meals we had experienced! My favourite was the Beef Stroganoff which was made with fillet of beef and was absolutely delicious. The service was brilliant, attentive and friendly and someone was always there when you needed them. Would highly recommend a visit.

Sit on the patio and have a cocktail before dinner, then order Swiss wine and a traditional meal of fondue or raclette, or go with something more continental and modern. We ate here both nights that we stayed. The breakfast provided with the room features a European buffet plus eggs and meat cooked to order.

The salads and rosti are delicious. Outdoor seating with a view and friendly staff make it the best restaurant.

We stayed a week on the Riederalp and family members stayed at the Golf-Hotel Riederhof. So we joined them one night for dinner. The service was very friendly. They were attentive and also very nice with our young daughter. The food was good: We started with soup and salad. Then had had the Roesti with "Zueri Geschnetzletes," the steak and the Egli filet. And we finished with some ice cream. Everything was also nicely presented. If you are not that hungry, you can always ask for a half-portion. Restaurant Riederhof is a safe choice for good food and service.
