Longhouse - Ridgefield

Had sushi on this visit for lunch. Atmosphere was a bit sparse as the small dining room sucks in the casino sounds. Would consider the cuisine more Asian inspired rather than traditional, but the taste was a degree above traditional casino food. Ordered the Ilani roll and the dragon roll. Both were presented very well as shown in the pictures, and the fish tasted fresh. Since both were specialty rolls with sauces on top, I did not really dip them in soy sauce. Both rolls were rather neutral in flavor and did require a soy dip. Had good flavor similar to a medium level sushi restaurant. Skip the vegetable tempura. Although it was crunchy, the batter was more like an onion ring batter rather than a light tempura crunch batter and for the price should have more Asian vegetables rather than salad ingredients. They use Smith tea presented in a nice teapot which is nice but gave me a bar mug instead of a teacup. Cmon!! Where’s the consistency? My chopsticks have dried green stuff on it which I scraped off before use. That certainly lowered the experience. If you’re at the casino and have a sushi fix, this will suffice definitely. Not really worth coming just for the restaurant as quality and atmosphere do not rival a regular sushi restaurant. Parking: If you have an electric car, there is no restriction on parking at a charger. Motorized cars that were parked at the charging stations, preventing others from using the spots.

Loved the bartender he was very efficient and friendly special didn't start till 7 but he gave me a piece of what the staff tried only I'm sure cuz it was in front of us but still above and beyond Friday around 6 o'clock Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I feel like every time I come here it gets a little worse. I want to love this place as it is close to home for me but as an avid sushi lover I can't give this place a great rating. Okay if you really are just craving a taste portion sizes on the rolls are big, just not the best quality fish for the price.

Sushi was good. they missed an article from our order and did not offer any compliments for the additional waiting period that was significant, as we waited patiently for a long time before we ask him again. the portionings are with the price-worthy, cheaper dishes are small/less meat. I wasn't a big fan of the sea red options ilani roll and another, but the salmon thun fish salmon roll was really good.
