Tiny Victory - Richmond

Tiny victory quickly became one of my favorite spots in RVA. My first visit was late at night (after 10 o'clock) and I wasn't familiar with many items on the menu, but the owner and bartender were friendly and helpful. They have options for adventurous eaters as well as more approachable items. After three visits with different friends, I can confidently say that everything here is amazing. My favorite dish is the brothy bowl with ramen or rice noodles and a choice of egg (soft or 6 minute). The flavors are complex, delicious, and satisfying. The cocktails are also tasty and well-made. The bathroom is gender-neutral and the walls are chalkboard, allowing for some creative expression. Check them out on Instagram at @rationsandoldfashioneds. The menu on the website is outdated, with only one option that my pescatarian sister could eat. The food was overly salty and lacked authenticity, as there were no Filipino staff members. The prices were also high.

Overpriced philippine food. the menu had changed from what I saw on open table. the restaurant was empty, with the exception of 2 persons sitting at the bar. the music was blowing and too loud and did not add to the ambiente. the people who came into the door of the house left them open.

My husband and I absolutely love it here. So much so that we had our rehearsal dinner here in May. We went back for our first time since the wedding and were greeted so warmly by one of the owners and staff. Cocktails are a must, they are so creative, beautiful and delicious! And the food is always so unique and delicious. The Chicken Inisal is always a wise choice (chicken is seasoned perfectly, right amount of crisp and moist on the inside) and any Lechon dish! One of our favorite date night spots and always a guarantee to leave satisfied.

We had the best experience at Tiny Victory! Such a nice staff and food was excellent and innovative. Atmosphere was low key and inviting. We loved sharing the small plates and they all had a good portion to share among four. I can’t wait to go back! And loved the pork sigsig.
